Core Beliefs

JESUS is God in human form. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sin free life, was crucified on the cross, was buried, rose from the dead, and is coming back.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” 
John 1:1, 14

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.”

THE HOLY SPIRIT is God's presence in this world, lived in and through the lives of the followers of Jesus Christ and is evident in the life of followers through actions and attitudes. The role of the Holy Spirit is to provide guidance, convict, confirm, and comfort the human heart. He gives gifts to men as He chooses.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
Galatians 5:22-23a

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

We believe THE BIBLE was written by men as directed by God. It is the only accurate and absolute source of truth. We believe it is a practical guide for life.

“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation.”
2 Peter 1:20

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16 

It is the privilege of all people who ask God for salvation to be born again and thus be assured of their salvation from the instant in which they trust Christ as their Savior. This assurance is not based on any action on their part but by the action of God.

Every believer is called to live a life that is in a process of being conformed to the likeness of God. This is only possible via the power of the Holy Spirit who will strengthen the believer so that he will not fulfill sinful temptations but will overcome sin to the glory of God.

Jesus Christ will return to the earth. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His imminent return, the resurrection of His people to life everlasting, and the judgment of the unbelieving world to everlasting punishment.

We also believe that the choice to home school is a highly individualized decision that is between God and His people. Selecting a home school program should be done with much care and prayer. The New Hope Homeschooling online program is based on Christian principles.
