Art and Music K-2: Discovering Your Gift
In His Image Art and Music K-2 is a delightful combination of two half-year courses! Beginning with Art in September, homeschool students will make crafts and artwork that illustrate Biblical principles and give glory to God, while learning to enjoy the inner creativity with which they have been blessed by God, the ultimate Creator. Music begins in January, with students learning to recognize the different instruments of the world through wonderful flash web sites and interactive learning activities that introduce them to the basics of Music!
The Learning by Grace, Inc., In His Image Art Series contains balanced and carefully selected visual Arts lessons that teach Art fundamentals to kindergarten through second grade homeschool students. Through interactive web adventures and bright and imaginative lessons, children will begin to discover their creative gifts. We will listen to songs and sing our hearts out. Students will experience many traditional styles of music and also be able to sing along with both traditional and contemporary worship songs.

For the convenience of our homeschooled students, we have included a selection of streaming videos in some courses. These videos are accessed through the lesson, and are viewed online. Curriculum developers enhance lessons with relevant visuals that add flavor to specific lessons. Because Dial-Up users may experience delays in downloading streaming videos, these particular films are considered supplemental to the course and are provided purely for added enjoyment and learning enhancement. As Learning By Grace discovers new and exciting material to enrich the student’s learning experience, these will be added to the courses. Be sure to review this page periodically for updates on new supplemental films.
With easy instructions provided in this book, you can direct, make costumes and scenery for, and act in plays so hilarious that even the audience gets in on the fun! Two full-size, ready-to-trace masks will help you get started. After that, all you need is a little imagination!
