How It Works

The New Hope Online Homeschool is an independent Christian resource center for homeschoolers in kindergarten through Twelfth Grade and accredited through the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance. Homeschool Curriculum is delivered online and includes homeschool materials such as: a combination of online and offline components including etexts, traditional textbooks, workbooks, CD-ROMs and other multimedia-intensive activities. The Christ-centered curriculum uses state-of-the-art technology to provide a challenging and compelling program. This proprietary system is tuned to run perfectly on modem-speed Internet connections as well as high-speed broadband lines.

The New Hope Online Homeschool communicates with enrolled families via the Live Operator System, The Message Center and e-mail. Utilizing cutting edge software, students will study, complete assignments, and take quizzes and tests. Students can also collaborate and socialize with other members of this unique online community in our safe, monitored Social Center.

New Hope Online Homeschool's skilled teaching teams offer individualized help for each student as requested. In addition to this qualified staff, the New Hope Online Homeschool is unique because of the advanced use of technology and the availability of teaching team assistance every weekday during school hours.

The New Hope Online Homeschool teaching teams provide the lesson plans and assignments while the parent determines the scope, sequence and method of self-paced instruction. Courses are available anytime, anywhere, at any pace, as long as all course work is completed within the 10 month school year, ending on June 30.

Portfolios

A number of states require that the parent or guardian of a home-educated student submit samples of the student's work every year. These requirements vary from state to state, and parents must determine their state's requirements.

For those who have these reporting requirements, New Hope Online Homeschool learning system will keep accurate records of your student's progress throughout the year. Our system allows parents to keep full and complete records of both online lessons and offline activities like field trips and community service activities.

These can be kept as an important record for your own review or, as required in certain states, can be submitted as your homeschooling 'portfolio' or 'record.' These service are all included in your basic tuition.

Home schooling can be a overwhelming undertaking. To effectively home school, families often need outside resources and support. The New Hope Homeschool provides students with their own home room online that gives them access to a calendar of the daily online home schooling assignments.
