TUITION
The New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center Academy has both public and private sections of this web site. Access to these private sections require a username and password which are created by the parent during the application process. Primarily for instruction, these sections are available on a tuition. At certain times of the year The New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center Academy offers an installment payment plan to make it easier for parents and guardians to budget their financial obligations. Upon enrollment, the student's parent or guardian is agreeing to pay the total tuition for the then-current school year either in full or according to an installment plan (if currently offered) that allows the full tuition amount to be split into two or more installment payments. Re-enrolling families returning for consecutive years will be entitled to re-enroll at the tuition amount originally paid during their first full academic year at the Academy. This specific benefit is currently valid at least through the 2006-2007 learning year and, although not guaranteed, we hope to be able to extend it after that time.
Tuition includes access to up to 6 courses. Families who wish to enroll in additional courses may do so at $200.00 per course for up to two additional courses. Students may not enroll in more than 8 courses during one school year. There may be additional fees and course materials for additional courses which are clearly described within the official course description.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At times The New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center offers a 2-4 installment payment plan to make it easier for parents or guardians to budget yearly costs. This plan is offered interest free as long as invoices are paid within 30 days of their due date. From day 31 and onward, a finance charge of 1.5% or less (subject to State and National regulations) is added on a monthly basis and will accumulate until the account is paid. Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 Return Check Fee. Declined Credit Card transactions are subject to a $1.00 Declined Credit Card Fee. Enrollment fees (if any) are refundable up to the point that an enrollment/application has been reviewed and accepted. After this process is completed the enrollment/application fee (if any) is not refundable UNLESS the enrollment/application has been declined. Declined applicants may receive a refund of the enrollment/application fee. Shipping & handling fees cover all normal shipping and handling to destinations in the U.S. for curriculum materials normally included and can not be refunded after the first postal mail or other delivery has been sent. Accounts that are placed in collection because of non-payment are subject to additional fees as permitted by law. The account holder is responsible for all collection costs (legal and para-legal) associated with collection activities for accounts that are cancelled for non-payment. Accounts cancelled for non-payment are subject to a $200.00 per student curriculum fee that may be credited upon return of all curriculum materials in good useable condition within 30 days of cancellation. Accounts cancelled or suspended for non-payment are subject to reporting to credit agencies and collection services.

If installment plan payments were agreed to at the time of registration and have been paid according to the agreement, all tuition paid minus the first installment payment will be refunded.
If the student is enrolled in additional courses beyond the 6 covered by tuition, and the student disenrolls from an additional course within 30 days of the student’s first day of attendance, the student will receive a refund of 75% of the additional course fee of $200.00. The refund does not apply to curriculum materials, CD Usage Fees or any other fees necessary for enrollment in the additional courses.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At times, The New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center Academy offers an installment payment plan to make it easier for parents or guardians to budget yearly tuition costs. This plan is offered interest free as long as invoice payments are not late. For accounts that are not current, a finance charge of 1.5% (subject to State and National regulations) is added on a monthly basis and will accumulate until the account is paid. Payments may be made through our secure online payment system by logging into the "parent" account and clicking on the "Make Payment" button. Parents may also call Client Services at 1-800-315-2511, Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm EST, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm EST, for assistance with making payments or asking questions about your account.
For those using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover, our secure online Auto-Pay system automatically processes charge card payments if/when future payments are due. Using Auto-Pay helps assure uninterrupted service and helps to avoid interest and late charges. Those who do not wish to use Auto-Pay must delete their credit card information on their parent account page. In this case, parents are responsible for entering a payment via the online system and/or mailing a check or money order for the amount due or re-entering their charge card information when they wish to make a payment. Returned checks are subject to a $30.00 Return Check Fee. Declined Credit Card transactions are subject to a $1.00 Declined Credit Card Fee. The account holder is responsible for all collection costs (legal and para-legal) associated with collection activities for accounts that are cancelled for non-payment. Accounts cancelled for non-payment are subject to an additional $149.00 per student curriculum fee. However this fee will be credited upon return of all curriculum materials in good useable condition within 30 days of cancellation. Accounts cancelled or suspended for non-payment are subject to reporting to credit agencies and collection services.
RETURN OF CURRICULUM MATERIALS
Curriculum materials are provided to our families via ground shipment after enrollment has been completed and, for 6-12 grades, after course selection has been finalized. Curriculum materials may include, but are not limited to, textbooks, workbooks and age-appropriate supplemental materials. These curriculum materials are provided to enhance the child’s educational experience. These materials are not necessary for the completion of courses. The New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center Academy is primarily an online learning environment and, as such, the bulk of the student’s curriculum is presented online. Additionally, CDs containing essential video and audio are included in your curriculum shipment. There is a CD Usage Fee of 7.95 per CD. Some courses do not have CDs while others can be accompanied by one to ten CDs. For families who have paid the tuition and fees in full upon registration or according to the agreed tuition installment plan, the Curriculum Materials do not need to be returned. Video CDs are programmed with a Digital Rights Management function that will allow them to be played only during the current school year; they can be disposed of after that time.
SUSPENSION, EXPULSION AND DIS-ENROLLMENT
Suspension is a temporary discontinuance of access to the New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center
private sections. Students remain enrolled during a suspension and all financial responsibilities remain in effect during a suspension. If a student is expelled, the financial responsibility to the tuition ceases upon expulsion. A parent or guardian may unsubscribe a student by informing the
New Hope Online Homeschool Inc. & Resource Center via fax, mail or email. If a parent or guardian unsubscribes a student during the first three months of subscription then they are responsible for the first 1/3 fee payment. If they disenroll after the end of the third month, they are responsible for the fees for the entire school year.
COURSE SELECTIONS AND ASSORTMENTS
Because we recognizes that children learn at different rates and different skills develop at different ages it is our policy to allow any student to take any course in any grade level at any time. Each student account is permitted to register in up to 6 homeschooling courses and additionally may take optional courses such as "Using Your Computer" and/or others at no additional cost. Of the six courses in which a student may enroll it is expected that up to five (5) of the courses are core curriculum courses (Math, Science, Social Studies Etc.) and that one (1) is an elective such as Art, Music and Physical Education. Every account is designed for the use of one (1) student only. The flexibility in course selection that is offered is not to be construed as allowing a single student account to be used by more than one student. One account may be used by one student only; accounts abusing this policy are subject to closure and forfeiture of all payments.
PRIVACY
We recommend that you review our Privacy Policy that is posted on this web site, which is part of these Terms of Use and which we may amend from time to time.
